Technology leads us to communicate in quick and impersonal ways. The need to relate to those we love the most in more authentic manners, is becoming increasingly important. In this context Better by Letter was born.
A romantic spirit brand that offers art and design in order to re-experience the emotion of writing and receiving letters.
The “naming and claiming” work consisted in coming up with a name with a positive tone alluding to the action of writing a letter and focusing specifically on communicating the emotional value of a letter in a very descriptive way: "Better by Letter. To tell something by letter is always cooler".
We designed the product as a pack aimed to be positioned in the gift stationery retail market paying special attention to the design and content quality.
The brand collaboratively works with different artists so the packs act as a loudspeaker for the world of art and design, apart from the fact they fulfill the mission of recovering the habit of writing letters.
On the visual graphics, we decided to work on a typographic logo merging the concepts "Better" + "Letter" so the logo itself could allude to the pun proposed in the brand name. The visual system results in combining the handwritten style designed internally by our team and the Termina font family designed by Mattox Shuler.
We designed and developed a customised corporate website with a shopping area that enabled us to convey the brand's narrative with the emotional touch the project required.
